The Beginning as a System Integrator

Pragtechnologies Corp. (Pragtech) was founded on February 26, 2014, by husband-and-wife team Noel Del Castillo (Tech Expert, MTM degree, 20 years of experience in Software Development) and Vanessa Del Castillo (Accounting & Finance Expert, MBA & CPA, 20 years of experience in Accounting & Finance). With a shared vision of building a world-class technology company, they started Pragtech as a system integration provider, helping businesses streamline their financial and eCommerce operations through Xero and Shopify integrations.

During this period, we focused on developing solutions that automated financial processes and optimized online stores. These early successes laid the foundation for our future expansion into full-scale software development.

2015

Expansion into Software Development

Recognizing the need for scalable enterprise solutions, we transitioned into software development services, initially specializing in .NET and Azure. Embracing Elixir & Kubernetes

In 2016, we started developing projects using Elixir & Phoenix , a powerful and scalable programming language, to build high-performance, fault-tolerant applications. Our expertise expanded into various industries, including healthcare, mining, shipping, finance, and government, where we delivered tailored, cutting-edge solutions that enhanced efficiency and operational reliability.

To ensure software quality and maintainability, we implemented Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines , allowing for seamless updates and minimal downtime. By following Test-Driven Development (TDD) , we maintained a robust codebase, reducing bugs and increasing system resilience.

Additionally, we provided DevOps services , leveraging automation tools and cloud orchestration platforms across AWS , Google Cloud , and Digital Ocean . Our use of Kubernetes as our primary platform enabled us to efficiently deploy, scale, and manage Elixir applications, ensuring high availability and optimized resource utilization for our clients.

Investing in Healthcare Innovation

In 2018, we invested in SeeYouDoc , a health tech company providing a telemedicine platform for healthcare providers in the Philippines. Our investment came in the form of technology services, helping build and enhance SeeYouDoc’s products to create a seamless digital healthcare experience.

SeeYouDoc has since become one of the leading telemedicine platform providers in the country, forging partnerships with key organizations such as the Department of Health (DOH), Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (DOST PCHRD), Department of Science and Technology - Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST TAPI), Asian Institute of Management - Dado Banatao Incubator (AIM-DBI), World Health Organization (WHO), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

This collaboration has allowed SeeYouDoc to expand its reach, improve accessibility to healthcare services, and integrate cutting-edge technology to support the evolving needs of the healthcare industry.

Expanding into Mobile Development

In 2020, we recognized the growing demand for mobile-first solutions and started building applications using Flutter , Google's UI toolkit for natively compiled applications. Our mobile applications have been heavily adopted in the healthcare industry, providing seamless patient-doctor interactions, telemedicine solutions, and streamlined healthcare management systems.

Open Source Contributions

In 2023, we took our commitment to the tech community further by contributing to open-source. We developed and released elixir libraries to integrate with Xendit (Payment Gateway) and SeeYouDoc (Healthcare Platform) , empowering other developers with seamless integrations for fintech and healthcare applications.

Launched Textstack: A Scalable SMS Blast Platform

In 2024, we launched Textstack , an advanced SMS Blast platform designed to empower companies with the ability to send thousands of SMS messages seamlessly via web and API. Textstack automates SMS transactions using CSV dynamic variables data format, allowing businesses to personalize messages and execute large-scale communications efficiently.

This platform has quickly gained traction among businesses looking for a reliable and scalable SMS solution, particularly for One-Time Password (OTP) verifications, marketing campaigns, and information dissemination activities.
